Team Tempest: Diving Into the New Age of STEM education
What FTC has to offer
State 2023?
This year, we are striving to push ourselves all the way to the State tournament. We plan to focus on better design and code aspects than in previous years, but overall make sure to work seamlessly as a team to create an atmosphere which will set us up for FTC success.
How FTC fits in Nova's already competitive environment
Just like at academics, our team works hard at FTC. Whether designing, building, coding, CADing or at the competitions, we plan to put our all into our bot. Our FTC team hopes to build up a community of dedicated individuals, just like any advanced class- and just like advanced classes, First Tech Challenge looks amazing on any college application or transcript. Experience in an engineering team shows colleges prior expertise and has the potential to greatly increase your chances of admission.
Connections in the STEM community
FTC introduces members to an extensive array of massive technology companies, such as Collins Aerospace, 3M, Raytheon technologies, Stratasys, PTC, to name a few. The skills taught in FTC are integral to any career in STEM, and will prove essential for years to come. As well as this, the FTC community introduces participants to job opportunities in STEM, showing how you too could work with technology for pay.
Versatility in Application
FTC is a club with no drawbacks. The relatively small time commitment combined with the many clear advantages of STEM skills show how fun of a club FTC turns out to be. Join to be part of this dedicated club of skilled STEM individuals, and you too learn the necessary skills to succeed in STEM fields.
